Carpenter Apprentice

Job Summary

Mitchell Design Build is seeking a full-time Carpenter’s Apprentice who is career-minded and eager to grow in the field of commercial and industrial carpentry. This role provides hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry, including forming, framing, drywall, ceilings, doors, and millwork. The ideal candidate is motivated to learn, show initiative, and build a long-term career in carpentry.

Salary Range: $52,000 – $62,000 annually

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all types of commercial and industrial carpentry, including forming, framing, drywall, ceilings, and door installation.
  • Work alongside experienced carpenters to develop skills and gain hands-on training.
  • Engage in other areas of construction as needed, such as demolition, site work, masonry, foundations, and metal stud framing.
  • Operate and maintain basic hand tools and cordless power tools.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at job sites.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of general construction experience (carpentry experience preferred).
  • Willingness to learn and develop expertise in multiple aspects of carpentry.
  • Basic understanding of construction techniques and tools.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Strong work ethic, team-oriented mindset, and attention to detail.
