Spencer joined Mitchell Design Build in 2005 as an architectural intern and quickly moved up, serving as Designer, Project Manager and Estimator.  In 2019 Spencer took over as President of the company and now oversees all operations.  As team leader, Spencer continues to expand the firm’s impressive portfolio of clients while ensuring that only first-class creative service and construction methods are employed.

Steve joined Mitchell in 1984 as a project supervisor. His quarter-century of hands-on experience enables him to manage several projects simultaneously while ensuring complete client satisfaction. His interest in the field began in high school as a part-time worker for his father’s construction company. There he gained a working knowledge of finished carpentry, plumbing, drywall and electrical work. Steve works hand in hand with the office to help develop construction schedules and manages every aspect of the constructing process.

The Mitchell Group | Executive TeamEllen CuthbertsonOffice Manager
Bringing 30 years of office management experience to the firm, Ellen is in charge of all company accounting and record keeping requirements including job costing, accounts payable/receivable and taxes. She also assists with human resource activities and is the company’s safety co-coordinator. Additionally she handles all office documentation of the numerous projects from commencement to completion.

Tom brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in all phases of construction. His expertise in concrete/masonry and metal building technology has prepared him well for his current position as a project supervisor.

Brad joined Mitchell Design Build in January of 2019 with sights set on reshaping the architectural division of the company. Today his responsibilities include building and site design, client relations, building code compliance and architectural scheduling and workload management.

The Mitchell Group | Executive TeamFrederick L. (Rick) MitchellFounder
Rick founded the company in 1983 and grew the company tremendously over the years.  In 2019, Rick sold the company to long-time employee Spencer Read while remaining a valued business consultant and partner to the company. Rick still regularly attends client meetings and is involved in projects.
